Tech sites such as Reddit, Wired and Wikipedia went black today in protest of the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA). According to a Time Business article out today, some of Wikipedia’s editors now question going totally black. The AP’s Peter Svensson asks if we can still go on, business as usual without the site (though students may think otherwise).

Some of our other titles such as the New Yorker and Entertainment Weekly’s Pop Watch break down the document’s trickier features (and highlight why you, citizen reader, should be alarmed).

Even Mark Zuckerberg tweeted in support of ripping SOPA to shreds.

What do you think? Has the blackout made an impact on you today? Is it necessary?
