It’s been a month since we launched the all-new Next Issue newsstand and app. The response so far has been very positive. As we continue to expand our catalog and reach, we are working hard to make the Next Issue experience the best it can be.

Here’s a quick overview of what reviewers have had to say so far:

A Buffet of Magazines on a Tablet by David Pogue, New York Times

“Few words fire up the happiness transmitters in your brain more than “free.” But “flat-fee unlimited” comes close.”

“The beauty of the Next Issue concept, though, is that it puts all the magazines in one place, using a consistent design and a standard set of controls. You don’t have to learn a different app for every publication.”

“Nicely enough, you can start reading an article before an entire issue has been downloaded.”

Next Issue magazine app review by Michael Crider,

“The periodicals themselves are surprisingly easy to read. Each and every bit of text has been specifically formatted for the screen size and resolution, making for an experience that’s much more comfortable even than web browsing on a tablet.”

“If your coffee table is littered with months of People back-issues, you cold swap them out for your tablet and actually have room for your coffee. Likewise the idea of having hundreds of issues in your bag or purse, in a format that’s actually enjoyable to use, is compelling.”

Best iOS, Android Apps: Spring ’12 Edition by James A. Martin,

#1 Next Issue

“But in my experience, no tablet newsstand app works as well as Next Issue.”

“Navigation is easy, issues download quickly and you can try the service for free for 30 days.”
