Equity Investment from Rogers Media to Bring Service to Canadian Customers
New York, NY– September 26, 2013 – Next Issue Media™, the first and only company to provide unlimited access to premium digital magazine content in the U.S., today announced a strategic agreement with Rogers Media, a division of Rogers Communications (TSX: RCI; NYSE: RCI), to market and make commercially available Next Issue’s subscription service in Canada. As part of the agreement, Rogers Media has made an equity investment in Next Issue and Ken Whyte, newly appointed president of Next Issue Canada, and Melinda Rogers, senior vice president of strategy & development, Rogers Communications, and founder and managing general partner of Rogers Venture Partners, now are Next Issue Board members.

The Next Issue Canada digital newsstand will be available to Rogers cable and wireless customers on October 15, with access to all Canadians starting December 15. U.S. subscribers will have access to Rogers magazine titles October 15. The app will be available on iPads, Android tablets and Win8 devices, with a smartphone companion launching in the coming months.
In addition to the leading U.S. titles, Next Issue Canada will offer access to the most popular Rogers titles including: Maclean’s, Chatelaine, FLARE, Today’s Parent, Sportsnet, Canadian Business, LOULOU and MoneySense. The initial version of the app will be in English with a French version to follow in 2014. As in the U.S., customers in Canada will be able to choose between Next Issue’s Unlimited Basic (monthly and bi-weekly titles) and Unlimited Premium plan (all titles including weeklies), with both plans offering access to back issues.
