Today, Vanity Fair published a teaser for its November issue’s cover story featuring Jennifer Lawrence, and it’s lighting up the Twitter-sphere. There’s her angry comments about the nude-photo hacking scandal. And then there’s that semi-nude cover photo.

For the first time, she addresses the recent celebrity photo hacking scandal, which included Lawrence’s own nude photos. “Just because I’m an actress, does not mean that I asked for this.” She adds: “It is not a scandal. It is a sex crime. It is a sexual violation. It’s disgusting.”

She also has choice words for those who viewed the photos online: “Anybody who looked at those pictures, you’re perpetuating a sexual offense.”

With those comments in mind, it’s ironic (and fitting) that Lawrence finally gets to “owns” the moment with her fully consented, semi-nude and classy cover photo shoot, shot by Patrick Demarchelier a month prior to the online photo leak.
