Tips for printing out your gift card

Mac OS

To get the best results, you need to set a custom page size and remove all margins, headers and footers.

In all browsers, you want to be sure that the page Orientation is set to "Portrait".

Firefox or Safari browsers:

Before clicking the "Print Out Cards" button on either the Gift Receipt page or the Email/Print page
accessed from your Account Summary page, configure the settings:

1. Go to File -> Page Setup (in Firefox) or File -> Print (Safari and most others) to open the Page Setup settings.
In the drop down list next to 'Paper Size' choose 'Manage Custom Sizes'.

2. In this window, click the plus sign, rename (double click on it to be able to edit the name) the new custom print
setting from the default 'Untitled' to something more descriptive, for example, 'Texture Gift Card'.

3. In the "Paper Size" input fields, enter 8.5 for width and 11.5 for height.

4. In the 4 inputs fields for margins, change all 4 to 0 (zero), then click "OK". Now you should be ready to print.

5. Go back to the page you are printing from and click the "Print Out Cards" button.

6. When the print dialog of the browser shows up, select "Texture Gift Card" from the Paper Size dropdown.

7a. On Firefox, be sure Page Headers and Page Footers are all set to "--blank--". You can also make this a preset: After
settings Page Headers and Footers, click the "Presets" dropdown and select "Save Current Settings as Preset...". It
will then ask you for a Preset Name e.g. "Texture Presets".

Also on Firefox, in the Options section of this window, make sure the "Ignore Scaling and Shrink to Fit Page Width"
checkbox is checked and Orientation is "Portrait"

7b. On Safari, be sure the "Print Headers and Footers" checkbox is unchecked. Be sure Orientation is "Portrait" and
    Scale is 100%.

8. You are now ready to print!

9. If you wish to preview the cards before printing, click the PDF button in the lower left corner of the dialog and
select "Open PDF in Preview". This will launch the preview window. You can print from this window as well.

Chrome browser:

1. Click the "Print Out Cards" button.

2. When the print dialog window opens, in the left column click "+ More Settings".

3. Make sure the Paper Size is set to "US Letter" and Margins is set to "None".

4. Chrome has a nice Preview in the right column, however you can also click the "Open in PDF Preview" in the lower
left if you would like to see a larger preview.

5. You are now ready to print!

Windows

To get the best results, you need to remove all margins, headers and footers.

In all browsers, you want to be sure that the page Orientation is set to "Portrait".
Firefox browser: 1. In the upper right corner of the browser, click the 3-lined "hamburger" icon. This opens a menu. 2. Click the "Print" icon. This opens a print window where the Gift card(s) will be previewed. 3. In the upper left corner, click the "Page Setup" button. In the "Format & Options" tab, make sure the Format Orientation is set to Portrait, Scale is 100% and the "Shrink to fit Page Width" is checked. 4. Next click the "Margins & Header/Footer" tab. Set all Margins to 0 (zero) and Headers and Footers to "--blank--". 5. In the top bar, make sure "Portrait" is selected and Scale is "Shrink to Fit". 5. You are now ready to print!

Chrome browser:

1. Click the "Print Out Cards" button.

2. When the print dialog window opens, in the left column click "+ More Settings".

3. Make sure the Paper Size is set to "Letter" and Margins is set to "None".

4. Also be sure Layout is set to "Portrait".

5. You are now ready to print!

Internet Explorer: IE (11) is a little more complex, but not too bad.

1. In the upper right corner of the browser, click the small gear icon. A menu will appear.

2. Mouse over "Print", then click "Print preview...".

3. In the Print preview window, once the preview appears, in the toolbar at the top, make sure the little portrait icon is selected, and "Shrink to Fit" is selected in the scale drop down.

4. Next click the little gear icon on the toolbar. In this window, set all Headers and Footers to "-Empty-".

5. In the Page Size dropdown, make sure "Letter" is selected. In this window, don't bother attempting to set Margins to 0 (zero). IE, in these inputs, decides what the margins should be for the Page Size that has been selected. We can do this elsewhere.

6. Make sure the "Enable Shrink-to-fit" checkbox is selected.

7. Click the OK button. This will return you to the Preview window.

8. In this window you should see small white pairs of arrows. This is where to adjust margins. Click and drag the pair of arrows in the lower left so that they align almost with the bottom of the page. Note: Each adjustment made for printing in IE may take a moment to be applied before you see the change make a visual difference.

9. You are now ready to print!
